Purpose Statement

The purpose of Youth Service for Christ is to connect teens with humanitarian relief volunteer opportunities in Christ’s name.

Mission Statement

Youth Service for Christ’s mission is to create volunteer opportunities for young people, ages 12-19, to find their character in Christ, be humbled in their efforts to positively impact those around them, and to enhance the quality of life in their communities. We are committed to creating a culture of service that meets the needs of individuals and communities in distress, while also cultivating our youth to achieve and grow in Christ Jesus through leadership, character, and service.

Vision Statement

Youth Service for Christ’s vision is to see our world changed by our youth who dedicate their time to create a positive impact for life in their communities.

About Us

Our organization desires to help develop the soft skills necessary, for the 21st century by providing knowledge beyond the classroom, by learning through experience. Through YSC our youth can track volunteer hours, earn leadership awards, create a portfolio for college and career applications, and receive scholarship awards on their graduating year. We want to encourage students to make college a desired decision. Moreover, volunteering is a great way for students to boost their competitive edge on college applications. Working for a cause without pay demonstrates commitment and passion, which are valuable assets for succeeding at college.

Volunteering also teaches students real-world experience, including the chance to develop Christian character and skills such as problem solving, fundraising, teamwork, organizational structure and time management.

Meaningful volunteer experiences create unique personal stories. Being able to reflect on lessons learned while volunteering shows both growth and maturity, which can in turn help students stand out in a competitive applicant pool. It also introduces students to new career paths they may have never before considered and is an opportunity for students to step outside of their comfort zones, identify God-given strengths and uncover natural talents and interests.

Scripture Belief

Ephesians 2:10

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
